Stay informed about space weather events with Space Weather Reporter

Space Weather Reporter is a free Android application that allows you to stay up to date with the latest space weather events and receive information intended for the scientific community about solar activity. The app downloads space weather data offered by DONKI (the Database Of Notifications, Knowledge and Information) and shows notifications on your phone or tablet about those events, even when the application is not running.

Space Weather Reporter provides information on a range of events, including coronal mass ejections, solar flares, geomagnetic storms, interplanetary shocks, high-speed streams, magnetopause crossings, radiation belt enhancements, and solar energetic particles. You can configure how and when the app downloads data for each event type, minimizing battery usage and keeping internet usage under control. Space Weather Reporter is available in English and Spanish, and you can easily share data about a particular event on social networks, email, or instant messaging apps using its fast and intuitive user interface.

It is important to note that the data offered by DONKI must be considered “Experimental Research Information” and a preliminary research product. This information is intended for NASA operation centers and the research community. Space Weather Reporter is not sponsored by NASA or any other organization and is developed independently.
