Groupon is a web and mobile app that allows you to purchase services and merchandise at a discounted rate on a daily basis.

Don't gift from this site!.
Worst site ever! I received a gift from a friend, which was very sweet of her, but I don't like the service so I asked if I could get a credit to choose something else. First, I asked through email, they were closed, a day later I get a confusing response that my friend needs to contact them, I was horrified I don't want her to think I'm unappreciative. So I called them, they are really rude, the lady was short telling me that the service could only be returned to the purchaser's account. Why? If the return policy allows for the service to be returned..... Why not exchanged for another service?

frustrating.
i ordered a product that was supposed to be mailed to me latest 10 days and it still havent arrived a month later. i've sent 3 emails to them about it and only got a response to the first one saying that they cant do anything until it ships from the company. finally when i called them only then would they refund the money back to me. i think it's ridiculous how i have to wait a whole month and call them myself to get the refund. the guy on the phone said that we werent the only ones with this problem which means they knew about the problem but didnt contact any of their customers to notify them about a refund. they even gave me $5 extra credit online but that was sent to me a week before a i called which means they could have let me know what was going on with my product. HORRIBLE! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I original bought an activity on here from the NOW DEALS (you have to use the groupon the day you buy it) anyway the place turned out to be CLOSED so groupon totally messed up on the deal. I expected my full refund but instead they gave me groupon dollars which I never agreed on, but I didnt care because I thought i was definitetely going to use again someday. Well since then every product I purchased did not come for about 2 to 3 months so I would tell them to refund my money back, and they would only give me back my groupon dollars, finally with the last thing I bought and that didnt come for 2 months I got so frustrated I told them I wanted my money back and that I never wanted to deal with their site again. The girl told me their system just could not give me a refund. Which makes no sense, because come on its a freakin company you can do whatever you want. And issuing a refund is not that HARD. so here i am about 70$ short of money they are holding hostage. More
